After a two-year sale saga triggered by RedBird IMI's 2023 repayment of the Barclay family's debt (a c.£600m loan against the titles), RedBird Capital Partners agreed to acquire Telegraph Media Group (The Telegraph and The Spectator) for roughly £500m (~$675m), with Abu Dhabi's IMI retaining a minority stake capped at 15% under UK foreign-ownership rules for newspapers.

Banijay Entertainment and All3Media Combination
RedBird IMI (IMI's 50/50 joint venture with RedBird Capital Partners) merged its Banijay Entertainment holding with All3Media to create the world's largest independent content producer, with 170+ production labels across 25 countries and a combined catalogue of 260,000+ hours of content. The merger was announced April 6, 2026 and completed July 9, 2026, with the combined business generating over EUR 4.3 billion in 2025 revenue and projected annual cost synergies of ~EUR 50 million. Jeff Zucker chairs the venture, with Marco Bassetti as CEO and Jane Turton as Deputy CEO of the merged entity.
