Al Jaber Group

Al Jaber Group is a diversified, family-owned Abu Dhabi conglomerate founded in 1970, active in construction and infrastructure (roads, bridges, buildings, airports), oil and gas pipeline/energy services, heavy lifting and marine transport, industrial manufacturing, and trading/distribution through dozens of operating subsidiaries (e.g. Al Jaber Transport & General Contracting, Al Jaber Building, Al Jaber Energy Services, Al Jaber Heavy Lift). It is one of the UAE's oldest and largest indigenous contracting groups, with a legacy of major projects including Abu Dhabi International Airport runway works, Mirdif City Centre, and residential developments in Dubai. The group went through a well-publicized, multi-year debt restructuring (reported at $840m in 2011 and again around $1.5bn/AED5.5bn later, with a Reuters report in 2020 describing creditor enforcement action in a "decade-long saga"), though its corporate website and subsidiaries continue to post active operational and safety-milestone updates.
